Developer Experience & User Experience: Tried & True Methods for Improving Both
Join us for a panel discussion on user experience, developer experience and methods of improving both, featuring Jade Wang, Jess Rosenberg, Connor Peshek and Ollie Hsieh from Cloudflare, and moderated by Andrew Fitch from Cloudflare. Our panelists will speak about their experiences developing user-facing applications, developer-facing tools, best practices they learned in the process, and future platform features.
There will also be time for food, drink and socializing.
About the Panelists:
Jess Rosenberg is a designer & creative director with 12 years experience working in ad agencies, startups and tech companies such as Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Twitter, and now Cloudflare where she is head of brand design. Jessica is passionate about crafting delightful experiences, especially when it comes to brand storytelling.
Ollie Hsieh is a recent graduate who double majored in Computer Science and Studio Art. She leverages her polarities as a Front End Engineer on the Apps team at Cloudflare, participating in design, implementation, and user research. In her free time, she is an avid photographer and enjoys petting elusive cats.
Jade Wang is Head of Developer Relations at Cloudflare. Previously, she co-founded Sandstorm.io, and was employee #5 at Meteor. Her Ph.D. is in neuroscience, and she had been a post doctoral researcher at NASA Ames Research Center. In a past life, she’s also a classically trained musician, poet, and martial artist.
Connor Peshek works in Developer Relations at Cloudflare. He started his career in tech at Eager, an apps platform that was later acquired by Cloudflare and transformed into Cloudflare Apps. After his Eager internship, he went on to do front-end web development for two years, working at companies like Kroger. For fun, Connor does death metal singing. You should ask him about that.
Moderator: Andrew Fitch works in Developer Relations at Cloudflare.. He grew up in MA and has a background in International Studies and Political Science which led him to study in the UK, China, and Italy. He lived and worked in Boston for 4 years where his first job was managing a screen acting school. He is a passionate burner, traveler, political activist, and outdoor adventurer.
